REFRAKTÆR EPILEPSI
Den ketogene diæt er en diæt bestående af høj fedt, lavt kulhydrat og moderat mængde protein. Diæten får kroppen til metabolisk at imitere kroppen i faste ved at inducere og vedligeholde ketose. (12)
Diæten blev først udviklet i begyndelsen af 1920’erne (13) og har vist sig succesfuldt at kunne behandle refraktær eller medicinresistent epilepsi med følgende fordele:
